ABOUT

Finca Takesi sits high in the Royal Mountain ranges of the Bolivian Andes, spanning 2,500 hectares between 1900 and 3200 masl. Its extreme altitude, meticulous cultivation and rare varieties have made it one of the world’s most respected coffee farms. This year marks our ninth year of direct trade with Mariana and her team, a relationship held by only a handful of roasters globally and one we feel genuinely privileged to maintain.

Alongside Takesi’s celebrated Geisha, the Java variety returns to our menu, each offering a distinct expression of the farm’s terroir and craftsmanship. Geisha’s global reputation is well established, having reshaped specialty coffee through record-breaking Cup of Excellence results, unprecedented auction prices and countless winning barista performances. Its delicate florals, soft tropical notes and tea-like clarity have made it one of the most recognisable and sought-after varieties in modern coffee.

Takesi’s Geisha continues to stand out even within this prestigious lineage. For more than a decade it has been a highlight at Seven Seeds, consistently improving and consistently surprising. As one of only a few roasters worldwide with access to this lot, and the only one in Australia, we’re thrilled to share this year’s release and celebrate the remarkable work behind it.
