ABOUT

Although also famous for its breathtaking mountainscape , Narino is better known in the coffee world for its ideal soil and climate conditions. The region is blessed with nutrient rich soil, thanks to the volcanoes that surround it. One of the main volcanoes is Galeras, which overlooks Pasto, the capital of Nariño. A part of the volcano also extends into the municipality of Consacá. Galeras plays an important role in the life of this region and is often referred to as Taita. This term comes from the indigenous communities of Nariño, such as the Quillacingas, and references a spiritual leader and guide within a community who always seeks the well-being of all.

This season’s Taita is a heady combination of tropical fruits and honeyed texture. A delicious example of how good regional blends from Colombia can be. Refreshing, vibrant and heavy on the summertime fruits.
